Building on proven credentials

The Oyster 1225 builds on the enviable credentials of the 885 and elevates them to superyacht standards. At just under 200GT, she delivers a significant increase in volume and a greater degree of onboard privacy. The larger platform supports increased tankage, systems capacity and storage, extending her self-sufficiency for extended ocean passages.

On the water

The 1225 is powerful, exceptionally well balanced, and supremely comfortable even in challenging conditions. Her sailing characteristics draw on our 30+ years of design evolution with Oyster, refining hull geometry and optimising sail handling at every stage. The focus remains on effortless passagemaking with a shorthanded crew, ensuring the yacht tracks securely, maintains impressive average speeds and offers a calm, predictable motion. She is designed to inspire confidence on long ocean legs while providing the same engaging sailing experience that Oyster owners expect.

A multi-deck arrangement

Within her high-performance hull, the 1225 has a multi-deck layout that extends the accommodation to 12 in five cabins. It’s a marriage of space and pace, with volume, comfort and style setting the tone. The 1225 has a partially enclosed centre cockpit with a fixed bimini, a saloon with Oyster’s iconic wrap-around glazing and seascape hull windows, and a flush foredeck with an integrated tender well.

Onboard living

The layout of the 1225 offers a clear separation between guest and crew domains. The full-beam owner’s suite and four guest cabins are positioned aft, placing them in the most comfortable part of the yacht. A bright, split-level raised saloon flows directly to the enclosed centre cockpit, creating a protected social hub at sea. Forward, a flexible snug/lower saloon sits adjacent to the captain’s cabin, galley, crew mess, and two crew cabins, ensuring discreet service and efficient operation. On deck, the safe centre cockpit, captive-winches for main and jib sheets, and excellent helm visibility all contribute to a highly capable bluewater platform that is as dependable offshore as it is for afternoons at anchor.

When it comes to her performance under sail, it is perhaps no surprise that she is a comfortable, capable cruiser with long legs.
