Two new boats from Elan

Monday 10th May saw Elan launch their latest creations in the form of the Elan 350 and Impression 444. The 350 follows in the footsteps of the 310 and 380 with wide aft sections, chines, twin rudders and fantastic cruiser/racer performance. The Impression 444 is a re-design of the hugely popular 434.

The preceeding weekend saw all the Elan dealers from over the world congregate at the Elan factory for the annual dealer conference. Despite a tough 2009 for all, the atmosphere was one of confidence and positivity for the coming year. This annual gathering gives the dealers the chance to speak to the design teams from HYD and Elan, to give feedback and to learn about the new product range.

The HYD team was well represented with 5 of the office travelling out for the dealer conference, boat launches and the all important sea trials on the Elan 350. The initial impressions of the 350 were extremely positive not only from our team but from all the dealers that who the chance over the 4 days to try the boat out themselves.

At the gala dinner on Monday night, Rob Humphreys was invited on stage to answer various questions about the new boats, the relationship between the two design offices and his thoughts for the future. A thoroughly good night was had by all and our thanks go to all at Elan for making our stay so welcoming.
