Richard Matthews’ Humphreys designed IRC42 Oystercatcher XXVI claimed overall victory in Class 0 at ACCBank Cork Week. In a strong 15 boat fleet, containing several of the latest crop of IRC optimised designs, Oystercatcher dominated proceedings with a 1-1-1-3-1-1-1 score card (see final results here).

Oystercatcher, designed and project managed by Tom Humphreys, is very much different in concept to the current trend of heavy IRC optimised designs in this size bracket, being very much a mini TP52. Her sparkling offwind performance certainly proved to be key on the various courses set at Cork Week allowing her to jump a few gears compared to the opposition.
