Elan success in Brazil & Portugal

2008 has been a fantastic year for Elan in terms of racing results and our congratulations go to two owners in particular who have dominated on the race course.

Elan 340 owner, Antonio Viegas and crew have been permanent features on the podium this year with a string of hard fought results on the Portuguese racing circuit.

1st Group C – South of Portugal (Algarve) Ranking 2008

1st Overall – Winter Regatta Championship (15 boats)

3rd Overall – International Lagos – Palos Regatta (42 boats)

4th Overall – Algarve Marinas Regatta (17 boats)

3rd Overall – Albufeira Marina Regatta (14 boats)

5th Overall – IRC Regional’s (15 boats)

1st Group B – Around the Algarve Regatta (10 boats)

2nd Overall – International Lagos – Madeira Island Regatta (4 boats)

Elan 410 owner, Mamede Neto of Brazil has dominated the IMS division and has scored two first class wins.

1st – Aratu-Maragogipe Regatta – Bahia – Brazil

1st – Offshore Bahia Regional Championship – Brazil

The boat was bought earlier on this year in Portugal and after a fast Atlantic crossing, arrived in time to sweep all opposition aside.

So congratulations to both skippers and crews for some fantastic results and we look forward to hearing more.
