An elegant and spacious 36-foot cruiser with dependable performance, the Elan 36 features stylish lines which belie a technical structure more than capable of dealing with the forces of nature that come her way, so that crew feel safe and comfortable when sailing at speed in any kind of weather. It is a good size to sail short-handed, by a couple for example, and yet is big enough to accommodate a family or up to six companions with ease.
The deck layout reflects the many years of designing, building and sailing experience that the Humphreys team put together to conceive this boat. The clean deck features the very best deck hardware available, while the ergonomically-designed cockpit guarantees comfort for both crew and skipper. The helmsman’s seat cants forward to create easy boarding through an open transom as well as a raised platform for easier visibility. The 36 is a well proportioned boat with a good sized, comfortable cockpit and plenty of easily worked deck space. She has a deep cockpit locker to starboard which will easily take the staysail, fenders, dinghy, outboard and have room for more.
Down below the 36 is thoughtfully designed and laid out, incorporating a three-cabin accommodation layout with a modern longitudinal galley to port. The 362 is an updated version of the 36 and more of an owner’s model with a traditional interior layout and an L-shaped galley. Both feature high-quality joinery, flowing lines and beautiful craftsmanship.
