Blizzard was probably the first fractional-rigged IOR 50 footer, designed for Ernest Juer and built by Green Marine in Lymington. After extensive campaigning on the American Fifty Foot circuit the boat was sold to an Austrian syndicate headed by Andreas Hanakamp, and raced around the world in the Hong Kong Challenge. The most recent information we have is that she is now a working boat, used for sail training purposes.
