St Barbes Museum displaying HYD models

Kingfisher’s design was a collaborative project with Owen Clarke. The Humphreys office developed all the naval architecture and hull design, ensuring the boat met class stability and other rule requirements, Owen Clarke carried out the project management and were also responsible for design aspects such as the deck layout and rig detailing.

The boat has multiple circumnavigations under her belt from Ellen MacArthur's historic performance in 2000 to last years Vendée Globe where she was sailed by Didac Costa!

Also on display is the original testing model used to develop the Rothmans entry for the Whitbread Race in 1989 (now The Ocean Race).
