The Oceantec 50 is designed for fast, efficient , comfortable and safe cruising for a family or couple. The design incorporates a powerful refined hull form with excellent sea keeping qualities, very generous comfortable and practical living spaces, a rugged high-tech composite structure and simple reliable sailing and service systems. It is being built at Oceantec in Slovenia.

The design will also be suitable for various rating rules such as IRC and ORC, depending on how the design is configured. The standard 3m draft keel option is of cast SG iron with composite fairings and lead bulb. Shallow draft and lifting keel options are also available. Rig options can be tailored to the type of sailing the owner wishes to do – including a runner-less version with square-top mainsail. Other options available include a solid mainsheet arch and windshield to offer an unobstructed cockpit, fully protected from the elements.
