It is not just racing yachts that can benefit from our Velocity Prediction work. For many of our cruising yachts we produce Performance Data Books to enable their owners to improve sailing efficiency, allowing them to optimise their upwind and downwind course angles, etc. As a service it is not limited to our own designs, and the information can be formatted to suit particular tactical and navigational software.
Increasingly we are producing full-blown Stability Books to meet MCA (Maritime and Coastguard Agency) regulations for charter vessels. In fact, more and more the private owner is also choosing to commission this piece of work, partly to enhance peace of mind and partly with an eye on resale value. Again, this is a service we can offer to other designs, not just our own.
