The Oyster 72 is a highly capable ocean cruising yacht with great stability, performance and room for ten to sleep on board. This go-anywhere yacht has superyacht quality and detailing, a blend of speed and comfort that the Humphreys team has worked diligently to ensure from the outset of her design blueprint.

The Oyster 72 uses modern composite engineering and incorporates the durability of Kevlar and carbon fibre materials to produce a hull and deck that are light, rigid and strong but which perform well in all conditions and climates.

Her hull lines look deceptively simple, but her sleek profile is in fact a fine blend of aesthetics and seaworthiness. Performance can be achieved while retaining the ease of handling that Oysters are well-known for. Her racing credentials are impressive too: one 72 beat an elite fleet of larger racing yachts to win the RYS Rolex Race around the Isle of Wight and then went on to win her class at Antigua Sailing Week.

Like other Oysters in the series, the 72 features the hallmark deck saloon, which provides a comfortable and secure seating or dining area that is just forward of the twin helm station and easily accessed virtually on the level from the stern gangway. Her deck design breaks new ground with sleek rolled-edge sides, transom stairwell and a streamlined transition between helm, ergonomically designed cockpit and foredeck.

In this class, the general arrangement below decks can be separated into crew, galley and guest accommodation. Space is generous owing to the wide beam (nearly 6m), and ten guests can be hosted aboard in comfort. The practical layout ensures that space is optimised, with ingenious stowage solutions and good headroom despite the slim-line exterior aspect. However, this Oyster as with others is customisable, depending on the owner’s particular requirements.
