CLASS 40 LAUNCH AND SEA TRIAL

The new Humphreys Class 40 ‘Vaquita’ has just launched in Slovenia and is now undergoing sea trials and two boat testing against the owners previous Class 40. Conditions so far have been light (8-10 knots), but early indications are extremely promising. Project manager and owner’s representative Andreas Hanakamp, commented “Everyone is stunned by her looks and even though not finally tuned up, the boat speed is very promising, especially reaching and off the wind compared to the old boat.” The latest Vaquita is due to compete this year in Les Sables – Horta – Les Sables, The Rolex Fastnet Race, The Class 40 World Championships and the Transat Jacques Vabre.
